Save the dates!

Late last week I began thinking about our Save the date cards. With something pretty & formal in mind, I went to Michael's in search of various pretty scrap book paper. I bought several samples and brought them home to show Zach. I could see his excitement when I began over-laying the paper to illustrate how the cards would look! He had been thinking of something slightly more casual and fun.

A few hours ago I started searching on the internet for 'Save the date' clip art. You wouldn't believe how ugly some of the stuff is! After looking around for a while, I came across a site that had non-traditional cards. I really liked one of the cards, and knew Zach would get a kick out of it ... So, rather than paying the $64.95 for 25 cards, I pushed the Print Screen button on my keyboard and modified :) Thifty, I know.

Once I finished sprucing my new jpeg up, I pulled him away from his work computer by promising he would love our Save the dates! He looked at me like I had 2 heads, haha. When seeing the card on the upstairs computer, he gave the "HA" with a big grin and said "Much better honey"! I am so proud of the card that I thought about attaching it .... but what fun would that be if you saw the card before receiving it in the mail! :) The cards will be sent out in June to allow out of town guests to mark their calendars!
